Milly Garren of Logan came into the season as our top returner and managed to finish on top for both the Discus and the shot put. Garren swept the. 4A Shot Put and Discus finals and placed second in the Javelin finals finishing the state meet with the best overall throws performance.  Garren is signed to throw in her hometown for Utah State University.

Finishing up with the Javelin, Mary Degraffenreid of Millard finished the season with the top mark for the Javelin when she threw 138-10 at the Kanab Invitational.  Degraffenreid was upset in the 2A Javelin Finals by Sarah Snell of Saint Joseph, who threw 137-9.5 at the Utah State Track and Field Championships, and Snell's mark ranked her second in the state to finish the season.  The 2A classification was definitely the powerhouse for the state when it came to the girl's Javelin.
