Bo Hickman of Snow Canyon Started off the season strong, throwing over 200 for the Javelin at his home meet back in early March. Since then, he had been chasing that mark for the rest of the season and came close to breaking 200 again at the Utah State Track and Field Championships, where he threw 199.85 to defend his state title! Bo is one of the top Javelin throwers in the country, and he is ranked 15th in the nation and 5th for his age.
Switching over to Discus, Tyler Poole of Layton finished the season on top with a personal best of 184-2 at the Region 1 Championships. That mark goes down as a new 6A state record! Tyler is ranked 8th in the nation for his age. Tyler is a well-rounded thrower who also placed second in the shot put, throwing 55-3.5 for a new personal best.
