The girls of North Summit High School managed to reclaim the top place in 2A after Millard beat them to it last year. North Summit had a very young team this year but they were still able to get the job done. Dani Zwahlen was the top finisher for North Summit who finished second overall in a time of 20:52. Two of Zwahlen's teammates were right behind her finishing in the next two spots overall. They were Julia Rust (freshman) and Charley Sargent (sophomore). Their fourth runner was freshman Scarlett Brock who was tenth overall. North Summit returns all seven of its runners from the state meet this year setting them up perfectly to repeat as state champions for 2022.
