When she hit the track, Jane Hedengren switched gear and reached a new status of dominance. She was slowed down during the cross country season due to an illness but showed us all that we were missing when she dropped times like 4:50 for 1600m and 10:17 for 3200m. These times are fast for any girl, but the fact that Jane was just a freshman when she ran these times was unheard of.
