Analysis: The Mountain View girls have the highest pair of ranked individuals in the entire state. Mari Konold (No. 3) and Julie Moore (No. 6) could finish in the top three at State this year and potentially in the top 5 in the meet merge. They make Mountain View an instant contender for the team title, but they'll have to face off against the defending champs, Springville, who's held the top spot since 2018. They return 6 of their top 7 runners from last year's state meet, and after the track season, they were ranked third among returners in the 1600m and 4th in the 3200m. These girls are ready to do some big things this fall.
