Top 2021 Team Finishes: 3rd at Region 3, 9th at Utah Class 6A
Coach: Doug Soles
Analysis: Herriman had a great opener to the season where they scored just 27 points and beat some reputable teams such as Farmington and Timpanogos. Herriman's new coach, Doug Soles, should be a familiar name to those who follow this great sport outside of Utah. Soles previously coached in California, where he took his boys and girls programs to multiple team's national performances which are no small feat coming out of the California qualifier. His insight, paired with the talent already there is sure to make Herriman a threat to be the top dog, not just in the state but the country. Herriman has two runners ranked in our preseason rankings, Noah Jenkins (No.6) and William Horne (No. 8). Their top two runners were impressive, but their 3-5 runners were right on their heels, creating a 45-second spread. Another stat that stood out to us from the Premier Invitational was how dominant their JV boys team performed. They perfect scored in the JV race putting their top six runners in the top six places overall. So no matter what happens this season, Herriman is armed to the teeth with runners and can reload at a moment's notice.
