Analysis: Westlake was stuck in a deep girls region that consisted of teams like American Fork and Lone Peak. They managed to place 2nd overall at their regional and ended the season with a 4th place finish at State. The three teams ahead of them were all out of Region 4. Westlake returns five of their top seven, including Shelby Jensen and Mya Curtis who were both low-scoring runners for them last year. With these two leading the way, Westlake looks set to make a run for a podium finish this season.
