Emily Sumsion had her best season on the track when it mattered the most at the 2022 State Championships. She Pr'd in both the 1600m and 3200m, running 5:02.84 and 10:55.25. Sumsions landed on the podium for both events finishing 4th in 5A for the 3200m and 5th in 5A for the 1600m. She was a podium finisher at the 5A State XC meet as well back in the fall of 2021, where she placed 7th overall and helped lead her team to their 4th straight championship title!
