Karli Branch is the defending State Champion in the 5A Classification. She won the race last year in a 17:51.40 over the likes of Heidi Sumsion and Camille Winterton. Karli then raced at FL West where she placed 12th overall and missed qualifying for the National meet by two places. In track Branch ran new PRs of 5:09.41 for 1600m and 11:04.21 for 3200m. She is looking to defend her State Title and hopefully lead her team to the win as well.
