| Kate Hunter burst onto the scene with a big win last year, upsetting some senior athletes in that race. She returned this year to prove that performance wasn't a fluke. She ran away from the field to cross the finish line first in 18:15. 15 seconds ahead of runner up Olivia Hoj from Olympus. Coming off a second place at Region, rising frosh Mimi Miyazawa impressed with her 3rd place finish amongst the upperclassmen in the Top-5. We knew the Timpanogos boys were good, but now the girls showed they are also the best 4A squad in the state. Mountain View ran extremely well through their Top-3, but the depth and tighter pack from Timpanogos gave the edge to sweep the 4A team titles! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
