State of the Action:

The question coming into the day was what would we see from Casey Clinger? He wouldn't have the individuals in the 4A race to push him, so what could he drop solo. The answer? The fastest time ever run at the Utah State Champs! Clinger adds another Utah State Title to his already impressive resume. He's currently ranked 14th in the nation, will this performance push him up in next week's update? Also putting together a great day in the 5A race was Talon Hull. This was by far the biggest race of his career! He takes a big leap from his 14th in 2014 to finish 2nd with the 3rd fastest overall time.

Even with Clinger's low score, it wouldn't be enough for American Fork to defend their 2014 state title. The Lehi squad pulled off a huge upset to race into 2nd place behind Connor Arnell and Ryan Raff, who both finished in the Top-10. Proving why they are ranked #4 in the country, Davis came away with the 5A State Championship with an extremely impressive 15 second spread between their Top-5!
