The Ninth Week of the outdoor competition has concluded, and We are less then two weeks away from the State meet! The biggest Invitational of the Year at BYU did not disappoint and there was a number of top performances that will be featured in this weeks poll!
Our fifth-week winner for the outdoor season was Shannan Fonua out of West Jordan High School.
Shannan was the 3rd place finisher of the Girls Shot Put at the Arcadia Invitational, with a mark of 37-10. Shannan Followed up that performance a few weeks later by throwing the furthest mark in 6A at the Davis Invitational when she threw 39-10.5. Shannan is currently ranked second overall in the State of Utah for the Shot Put and she is on the verge of throwing over 40-0 for the first time in her career. Shannan won last week's poll with a final tally of 1,700 plus votes to win the poll!
Congratulations to Shannan, who is now entered into the pool to win the MileSplit T-Shirt at the end of the outdoor track season.

We'll have ten candidates in this week's poll. Voting will end Friday at 12:00 PM MST, and we'll recognize the winner next Tuesday during the unveiling of the newest poll!
