Mari Konold of Mountain View dropped a lot of time off of her PRs from the 2019 XC season, bringing her three-mile time down from 18:09 to 17:34 and her 5k time down from 19:25 to 17:57. Konold has established herself as one of the top runners in the State early in her high school career, and now that she has some experience of leading the pack in big races, it should give her the confidence needed to win even bigger meets such as State. Not only did Mari finish top of her class, but she has the fastest returning three-mile time for the 5A classification.
