Tyler Poole of Layton was undefeated this indoor season in the shot put winning all three of the meets he attended. Tyler's season-best came from the BYU HS Indoor Invitational where he won with a mark of 58-0.75. Poole would go on to win the Weber State Indoor Invitational and the Simplot Games Shot Put. Tyler is one of the top returning throwers going into the 2023 outdoor season and he'll be looking to defend his title in the discus and move up to the top spot in the shot put. Jack Mosher of Davis finished the season as the top weight throw performer with his best mark coming from the BYU HS Indoor Invitational. Jack threw 56-5.5 to win the meet. Jack would also go on to win the Weber State Invitational in the weight throw and place 5th overall at Simplot.
