The landscape of the 4A classification is about to undergo significant changes, with elite talent from the 5A classification flooding in at the start of the next school year.  Julie Moore of Mountain View will be the favorite to win the 2023 4A state title.  She had the second fastest 5000m time among the returners in the 5A classification from this year, and her best of 17:53 is well ahead of the competition. Joining Moore in the Transition will be cross-town rivals Ava Trimble of Orem and Molly Walton of Timpanogos.  These three girls are the top returners from their teams, and each of these teams could be in contention for that 4A team title in 2023.
