As previously mentioned, this latest change to the region alignment will alter how the 4A and 5A races of 2023 go down.  Most of the top returning teams from 5A for the 2022 season will remain in 5A, with Viewmont as one of the early favorites for the 2023 title.  Being led by Gabe Hooper, who is a favorite to be the individual champion, they have the fastest average between their top five returners at 15:57.  Orem drops to 4A, which moves Olympus, Woods Cross, and Alta up a spot.
