Girls Individuals
The girl's individual race will be the greatest individual showdown of the season! Carlee Hansen of Woods Cross and Caila Odekirk of Hurricane have had perfect seasons running against in-state competition. Both finished off as the state champion in their classification and had the fastest times of the day on their state course.
Carlee Hansen hadn't lost a cross country race in Utah since her junior year when Anna Martin defeated her at the UHSTCA Pre-Footlocker Invitational. Carlee has an outstanding ability to sit on the leader and outkick them at the end. It is the reason she is undefeated this season.
Caila Odekirk, who is also undefeated this season, has been flying under the radar, having most of her races in Southern Utah. Odekirk's biggest win came from the Timpanogos XC Invitational, where she beat out other big names such as Avalon Mecham from American Fork and Addi Bruening from Herriman.
