Girls Pole Vault
At BYU the Girls Pole Vault was the highlight of the first day of competition. Adara Christensen jumped 12-11.5, which is now a U.S. #9 mark and we saw 8th grader India Ortiz land the best Middle School jump in the Nation! Christensen will not be at the Weber meet but Ortiz will. Last week, India bested her mark from BYU by jumping 11-2 at the National Pole Vault Summit. That adds to her number one mark by 4 inches! Will she continue this hot streak by earning a new PR at Weber? India's biggest challenger looks to be Lexi Wightman out of Syracuse who has an entry mark of 11-0.
