Utah Girls Performer Of The Week (3/29-4/4)

*Caila Odekirk (left) was your week 1 winner for UPOTW for outdoors. Sarah Ballard (right) is a nominee for week 2.

Caila Odekirk of Hurricane has really showcased her track speed in the first month of completion, running times ranging from 5:01 for 1600m and 10:47 for 3200m.

Caila currently leads the state in the 3200m with her time of 10:47 that she ran down at the Pine View Invitational.  10:47 is also the new school record for Hurricane.

Caila took this past week off from competitive racing, but she has shown why she is the favorite to win the 4A distance titles come may and one of the top overall distance athletes of the year.

Odekirk grabbed a total of 48 votes to win week 2 UPOTW honors, which was about 49 percent of the vote.

Congratulations to Caila Odekirk and all the other athlete nominees for week 1.
