The Nike Cross Nationals Southwest Region has dominated the top of the podium in Portland over the past three years. This year we have the possibility to see the same results. 

In 2015 Casey Clinger of American Fork (UT) surprised a lot of people and won the NXN race as a junior. Clinger then did the unthinkable and became the first boy to win two NXN individual titles and the second-ever athlete to do so behind Sarah Baxter of Simi Valley High School (CA).

Last year was the year many people thought the Southeast region was going to win an individual title with Brodey Hasty from Brentwood, Tenessee, coming back as the top returner. Then came Aidan Troutner of Timpview, Utah. Troutner surprised many with a crazy last push to beat Hasty at the line in an incredible race.
