Who Improved the most in the 800m?

For the girls, it was Emmalee Prince of Bonneville.  Prine ran a huge PR in the 800m dropping over a minute off of her 2021 season best when she ran 2:52 at the Dixie Invitational. Emmalee was the only athlete across both genders to drop over a minute in this event from 2021 to 2022.

Two other girls improved by over 30 seconds and they were Ryn Nilson from Farmington who improved by 34.60 seconds and Uibel Helina of Lone Peak who improved by 30.99 seconds.

For the boys, Jaden Gates of Stansbury improved by 48.41 seconds over his 2021 season-best. Gates ran 2:57.53 at a JV meet in Tooele back in 2021 and then topped that performance by dipping under 2:10 at the Orem Tiger Trials when he ran 2:09.

The next most improved athlete on the list was Spanish Fork's Nathan Morris who dropped below three minutes and some when he ran 2:21.90, then Austin White of North Summit who also broke the three-minute barrier when he ran 2:29.
