Angelina Appel of Bingham is the only freshman girl in the State who has run under 13 seconds for 100 meters! Appel's blazing fast performance came from the Alpha Invitational, where she went 12.60 in her prelims race. Appel ran under 13 seconds again for her finals in a time of 12.79, finishing 6th overall in the meet.
Appel has run in three meets this season and has run under 13 seconds in two of those meets. Angelina also leads all freshman girls in the state for 200m, with her fastest time being 26.46, also from the Alpha Invitational.
