Varsity Girls Race
Lone Peak and Mountain View girls tied for first and upset the top team in the field Maple Mountain. This was a meet that was decided by depth which all the top 3 teams all had but Lone Peak managed to squeeze by with the win thanks to their 6th runner Savannah Hilton who scored 22nd in the meet. Mountain View did finish with their top 3 runners taking the top 3 spots overall led by junior Helena Miyazawa who ran a 17:55.9 to win the meet. Maple Mountain followed in 3rd just 8 point behind Lone Peak and Mountain View. Just a side note, Lone Peak and Maple Mountain have each run 3 races in the past 8 days. All three of these team will meet again at the Murray Invitational where they will all have plenty of rest and will be hungry for the win at one of the biggest meets in Utah.

Varsity Boys
Justin Hartshorn of Lone Peak won the individual title in 15:18.6
Timpanogos on the boys side ran away with todays meet finishing with 34 points. Rounding out the Top 3 was Desert Hills in 2nd with 76, and Lone Peak in 3rd with 96. Justin Hartshorn of Lone Peak won the meet today in 15:18.6 over Brennan Benson who followed behind closey in 15:21.4. Both of these teams have also raced 3 times in the past 3 days and will be resting up for Murray with will be this Friday.
