Awards for the week of September 1-8, 2013.

Kramer Morton- Alta- Morton held off a very talented Connor Mantz, as well as a very deep field, to win the 2013 Murray Invitational with a time of 15:18.1. This marks Morton’s second win already this season. He also won at the Highland Invite, as well as posting the 2nd fastest leg at the AF Grass Relays. Morton holds the fastest 5k mark in the state so far this season, and the #2 fastest time over 3 miles. His 5k time from the Murray Invitational is also the 6th fastest 5k this cross country season in the entire country.

Sarah Feeny- Ogden- Feeny earns the honor of athlete of the week after she dominated a strong field at the Murray Invitational.  In a race where 50 girls ran times good enough to meet the national elite standard for high performance, she pulled away to win by over 15 seconds over Aimee Bryson of Cedar. Her time of 17:41.60 is the fastest time in the state this season for 5k. She also holds the top time in the state this season for the 3 mile run in 16:53. The same as Morton, Feeny's time ranks her #6 in the nation over 3 miles, and #8 over 5k.
