Jackson Spencer's Stamp on his Utah High School Career
There's no doubt Jackson Spencer will go down as one of the best distance runners in Utah's history, and the State Championship further demonstrates it. Spencer won the 6A 800m, 1600m, and 3200m in dominant fashion. His most impressive performance was a personal record of 4:02.16 in the 1600m on Utah soil.
Lily Alder Concludes UT High School Career With 3 State Titles
The senior from Timpview dominated the 5A 800m, 1600m, and 3200m. Lily Alder will conclude her senior season as the state leader in the 800m and 1600m.
Joshua Hamblin's Sprint Dominance on Full Display
No one could stop Joshua Hamblin in the 6A boys' 200m, 100mH, or 300mH, as he secured a state title in each event. Hamblin's highlight performance was the 200m, where he ran a personal record of 20.81.
Barton, Christiansen, and Stowe Traded Places in 3A Distance Races
Avery Barton, Gentry Christiansen, and Rozlyn Stowe went head-to-head in all three 3A distance events at the Utah State Championships. Their closest races came in the 3200m, where Barton won by just 0.26 seconds over Stowe. In the 1600m, Stowe won by the largest margin, 7 seconds, in 4:51. Gentry Christiansen won the 800m with a season-best time of 2:15, by 2 seconds.

Highest Individual Scores
The sophomore dominated the 2A State Championship with four victories on the track in the 200m, 400m, 100m hurdles, and 300m hurdles. Lurth secured three personal records across the weekend, with her biggest coming in the 400m dash by a second. She ran a personal record of 56.82 to win the 400m by almost three seconds over the rest of the field.
Similar to Ruby Lurth, Skylee Guymon won the 200m, 400m, 100m hurdles, and 300m hurdles in the 3A division. Guymon accounted for 40 of Emery's 97 points scored to win the 3A girls' team championship. This performance capped a remarkable season for Guymon as she's ranked in Utah's top 10 in all four of those events.
Amelia Nadauld won the 4A 100m, 200m, 100m hurdles, and 300m hurdles, also scoring 40 points at the State Championships. The senior ends her Utah season as the state leader in the Utah 100m dash and 300mH.
Casey Walter was all over the track in the 1A competitions to help score 33 of 135 points as Panguitch won the 1A Team Championship. He won the 1A State titles in the 200m and javelin, demonstrating his versatility.
The senior from Whitmer won a 3A State title in the 100m hurdles and long jump, scoring the second-most points for a boy at the Utah State Championships. He also finished runner-up in the high jump and 6th place in the discus.
