It was a great day to be a Herriman varsity athlete at the Premier Invitational.  Herriman put on one of the most dominating performances we have ever seen from this meet and put their top 5 in the top 9 places overall.  Being led by seniors William Horne and Noah Jenkins, who placed first and second overall in the meet, Herriman had a 45-second split and an average time of 15:32 over the challenging short course at the Cottonwood Complex.  Herriman had a final team score of 27 points in the meet. Finishing second was Timpanogos with 161 points, and rounding out the top three was Farmington with 177 points.

Finishing in first for the girl's race was junior Avalon Mecham of American Fork, who finished 38 seconds faster than her nearest competitor who was defending 5A state champion Raygan Peterson of Timpanogos.  Closely behind Peterson was freshman star Rozlyn Stowe of Carbon, who had an impressive High School debut finishing in 18:11.  American Fork took the team title and won with a score of 38 points.  Trailing behind them was Springville, who came in second with 59 points, and Timpanogos rounded out the top three with 66 points.
