Addi Bruening of Herriman is on a hot streak winning two major invitationals in the 1600m and leading the state for the past two weeks in that event. Bruening is getting close to breaking that five-minute barrier in the 1600m and has shown that she has the talent to complete the task. Addi's latest win at the Orem Tiger Trials was big finishing over top talents such as Regan Gardner and Eliza Arrington of Lone Peak. Addi is one of the favorites to win the individual 1600m state title in May and she currently has the fastest time in the 6A classification with her time of 5:00.49 from the Phoenix Fire Fest!
