Utah Girls Performer Of The Week (4/5-4/11)

Carlee Hansen of Woods Cross has been dominant these past two weeks running only sub 5 for 1600m and has kept her undefeated record strong so far this season.

Hansen currently leads the state for both the 800m and 1600m this season and both of those State leading times were run at this last week's meet at the Phoenix Fire Fest!

Carlee won the 1600m at the Alpha Invitational and that performance qualified her for athlete of the week and she won the poll by 13 votes!  Carlee has since lowered her 1600m markdown to a 4:51 which is a new 5A State record!

Carlee is getting close to joining a shortlist of girls who have run sub 4:50 on Utah soil.  This would be an incredible accomplishment to add to her already impressive resume!

Congratulations to Carlee Hansen and all the other athlete nominees for week 2.

We'll have ten candidates in this week's poll. Voting will end Friday at 12 PM MST, and we'll recognize the winner every Monday during the unveiling of the newest poll.
