Minnesota MileSplit recently caught up with Stillwater High School standout, state champion, and BYU commit Analee Weaver to talk running, Covid, and many other topics!
When did you first start running, and do you recall any of your childhood races?
I started running when I was a freshman in High School, and I only did "fun" 5k races every once in a while with my family when I was younger.
Was there a certain moment when you realized you'd be able to compete at such a high level?
I think after my second season running cross country. I had placed eighth at state, and I knew I was only going to learn new things to help me improve, but also that I was beginning to find my purpose and what made me happy. As long as I worked hard and had discipline I knew I could achieve my goals at some point.
What are some bumps in the road that you've encountered when it comes to training for different events during the season?
I think everyone has experienced bad races, and workouts they wished had gone bett...
