Beginning March 16, all spring sports across the state of Utah will be suspended for at least two weeks in response to the growing number of cases involving the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state.
Governor Gary Herbert declared Utah to be in a state of emergency last week when Utah received its first official case of COVID-19 from a Davis county man who went on a cruise. Since then, several other official cases have appeared, including Utah Jazz All-Stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell.
All across the country other states have also suspended spring competition and the NCAA has also cancelled all winter and spring championships as well.
We will continue to keep you updated as news becomes available, but as for now MileSplit Utah is planning on being at the Snow Canyon Invitational in St. George this weekend unless it gets cancelled as well.
