1A-4A are now caught up with the 5A-6A divisions and all are ready to compete for the State Team Title on Saturday.  There were a lot of great performances from Day 2 and the one that stood out from among the rest was Alli Baker's 800m!  Baker ran a 2:08.76 which is a new 4A State record and puts her just 0.31 seconds behind Shea Martinez-Collinsworth who holds the overall State Record!  The 2:10 barrier for a Girls 800m is a hard one to break.  Only a handful of girls have done it and that list includes,

Shea Martinez-Collinsworth (Davis) - 2:08.45 (2013)

Alli Baker (Pine View) - 2:08.76 (2019)

Meghan Hunter (Provo) - 2:09.26 (2018)

Kate Hunter (Provo) - 2:09.55 (2017)

Kelsey Brown (Mountain View) - 2:09.80 (2010)

Sarah Feeny (Ogden) - 2:09.83 (2014)

The MileSplit database goes as far back as 2009

Three Girls have broken this sacred barrier in the past 3 years!  Crazy thing is that Baker is just a Sophomore!  She still has two years to drop some time off of that record.
