Six Texans Who Should Get NXN At Large Bids

Halena Rahmaan (Senior, Montgomery)

One of two athletes on this list staying in state and heading to the Forty-Acres, Rahmaan didn't have the senior year she envisioned, but her accolades over the last two should warrant consideration for an at large bid to NXN. Rahmaan, who competes in 5A was the district and regional runner-up and placed 12th at state. At NXN South, she missed out on the top ten, with another 12th place showing. However 2017, was a different story for the Montgomery star. Rahmaan had five sub 18 performances including a PR of 17:16.32 to win the 6A UIL State Cross Country Championship. She was 6th at NXN South and 35th at the NXN Championships in Portland as a junior.
