UHSTCA INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
February 6th and 7th, 2009 @ the Kearns Ice Oval
Boys Results
The Utah High School Track Coaches Association held the annual Indoor State Championships at the Kearns Ice Oval. As expected several top performances were established. Boys MVP went to Davis throwing sensation Tony Hill. Davis high also claimed boys team champions with 107 team points. The defending state champions, the Corbin Talley coached Davis Darts again showed dominance in all aspects of the championship and looks for repeat in outdoor.
- - Timpview senior standout Jonathan Nelson blisters a fast 9:31 indoor 3200 meters
- - Davis senior Tony Hill continues throwing dominance with shot put (56'10/25") and weight throw (55'10") victories earning the meet MVP award
- - Syracuse Tyrell Yardley runs a swift 21.84 200m victory; Utah #1 all-time mark indoors and currently ranked #5 Nationally
- - Skyline senior Jeff Daw doubling back from a 22.04 200m (#2 all-time indoors/ #9 Nationally)runner-up wins the 400m in 48.89 (#4 all-time indoors/ #8 Nationally)
- - Anchored by 3A sprint standout Brayden Brunson Delta claimed victories in the 4x400r and 4x100r , Brunson placed 3rd in the 200m, his time of 22.15 was #3 all-time indoors and #15 Nationally
