Just as we did with the New Mexico boys, we'll delve in here to uncover what we can about Utah's top teams overall. Then, with that job completed, we'll turn our attention to Utah's small-school girls teams. 

Last year, Utah, was very strong in the championship girls race, but also very quiet in the small-school girls race. The idea of NXR-SW hasn't quite caught on, at least not as of last year, for Utah's small schools, but that could easily change this year. Regardless, we'll take a close look at what the possibilities are there.

We begin with a look at the top eight girls teams overall, based on rankings of returning runners from last fall and using the Utah standard of the three-mile race distance.
