Clinger, Parsons win Out-Of-State 3200ms

Over the weekend there was a number of post-season races including the Great Southwest Classic and the Music City Distance Carnival. Utah athletes took the win in the Boys 3200m for both of these events with Casey Clinger winning the Great Southwest Classic and Alek Parsons winning in Nashville.

Clinger was a part of a 1-4 Finish for the boys from Utah. His time of 9:23 put him 11 seconds ahead of Garek Bielaczyc of East HS.

Parsons, the state leader in the 3200m, traveled all the way to Nashville. While he was aiming for a sub-9 minute performance, he feel six seconds short. He was paced through the first half, hitting 4:30, but once the rabbit stepped off Parsons was left to finish the race by himself.
