The big meet here, of course, was the Woodbridge Cross Country Classic. The meet was, in a word, loaded.
Out of that loaded meet came Arizona's Desert Vista in second, sandwiched between Great Oak and Saugus. Desert Vista earned a few stripes at this one. Scoring times ranged from 16:16 to 17:37 for three flat miles with a good bit of hard surface thrown in. Xavier College Prep finished 10th, and Colorado's Castle View 17th in the Sweepstakes race (21 teams) field, averaging 44 and 73 seconds per runner slower than DV's 17:10.
