The Desert Vista girls of Phoenix, Arizona come into this season ready to roll with 6 sub 19 minute 5K runners back, but fast times alone will not cut in a very competitive Nike Cross Southwest Region that could have a handful of teams earning pre-season national rankings or recognition including traditional powerhouses Fort Collins High School of Colorado and Davis High School of Utah. List is generated by using the average time of the top 5 returnees on each team from their 2013 XC season 5K bests. Note that these are not subjective rankings, which we will produce during the season, but a guide to show some of the top teams coming back in the region.
