There were some serious rumblings across the Southwest region last weekend. We'll try here to explain what all those rumblings were all about.
Nevada
The search for Nevada results continues. Almost certainly, the top Nevada teams headed out-of-state last weekend, because there wasn't a great deal of in-state action to be had. Centennial wasn't at UNLV, and they most certainly weren't in Fernley, but I've cast nets far and wide without coming up with the whereabouts of the boys team. The girls ran at Stanford, but not the boys. Perhaps they stayed home and rested up?
Arizona
There was some big-time action to be had in Arizona, but none of it involved Desert Vista, the new rising girls power in the Grand Canyon State.
