Davis' Girls 4x800 team of  Joanna Boyd, Shea Martinez, Taylor Cox, and Ellie Child ran a dominating time of 9:14.86. As of the most recent milesplit results and national rankings this time puts them a solid 10 seconds ahead of their nearest competitor. with a lot of meets happening around the country this weekend it will be interesting to see if the rest of the country can keep up.

In the Boys 4x800 the Davis Boys also dominated, beating their nearest competitor by 8 seconds. their time of 8:01.38 puts them at 8th on the most recent national list. Coach Talley has done his finest work yet with these boys as they broke the previous Davis High School record by 7 seconds. Alex Hedquist, Skylar Williams, Jackson Sagers, and Brayden Cromar made up the relay team.

Preston Johnson and Alex Hedquist of Davis were 2nd and 3rd in the Boys 2 mile run. Their times were 9:28.91 and 9:45.11 respectively. Not many have run 9:28 for a full two mile and that time definately reflects the talent that Johnson has. Hedquist ran his 9:45 after being part of the 4x800 team that won earlier tonight with a time of 8:01. impressive double from him to say the least.

Lauren Baxter performed very well in day 1 of 2, as she grabbed 2nd in the 200m with a time of 25.60. She also qualified in the 5th 60m Dash with an 8.00. She has the wheels to win the whole thing and will also be running the 400m tomorrow.

Also Making the final in the Girls 60m Hurdle Finals is Christin Van Brocklin.
