As we officially enter the second half of the cross-country season, the stakes are going to continually get higher over the next two months.
After a few weeks on the top, Fremont (Neb.) star Juan Gonzalez was bumped out of the No. 1 spot. A pair of Organ Mountain (N.M.) seniors ran the two fastest times of the year at the Organ Mountain Winter Classic.
Corbin Coombs and Jeron Wisner established new lifetime bests over the weekend, running 14:30.5 and 14:34.4, respectively.
Southlake-Carrol's (Texas) Caden Leonard and Hurricane's (W.V.) Ty Steorts round out the top five in the No. 4 and No. 5 spots.
