Garmin To Title Sponsor RunningLane XC Championships

Some big news coming our way by virtue of this year's national team cross country championship.

RunningLane announced on Tuesday that Garmin will be a title sponsor for the RunningLane Cross Country Championships on Dec. 4 at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama.

The multi-year partnership will bring to the table a renowned partner for the national championship race and will supplement an event that continues to grow in size and scope since its debut in 2020.

"RunningLane is so thankful and honored to work with a leading fitness technology company like Garmin, who so graciously stepped in to help provide a wonderful experience for kids all across North American in their postseason goals and endeavors," RunningLane co-founder Sean Allan said.

"Garmin stepped to the table and with their help the Garmin RunningLane Cross Country Championships is going to be an unforgettable experience."

All participants at the RunningLane Cross Country Championships will also receive a RunningLane beanie and gloves. Competitors for the national championship gold race will be provided with exclusive kits -- if those teams registered by the deadline of Oct. 20 -- and RXC2 backpacks.

Garmin will be on-site in Huntsville, Alabama for pre-race festivities and on race day as it will feature its globally-recognized products.

As it stands, the current iteration of Garmin RXC2 will feature the nation's top teams and will include the No. 1 boys team in the United States, Newbury Park, alongside No. 2 Cheyenne Mountain, No. 3 Niwot, No. 4 Farmington, No. 5 Columbus North and many more.

The No. 1 boys athlete in the U.S., Riley Hough, is also expected to compete at the meet. Recent state champions and nationally ranked runners from Colorado (Riley Stewart and Zane Bergen) and Indiana (Lily Cridge) are also expected to compete.

Alongside Garmin, The Garrett Companies is also a supporting sponsor.

"The Garmin RunningLane Cross Country Championships attracts the fastest runners and teams in the country, and we are thrilled to be the tittle sponsor of this competitive meet," said Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President of Global Consumer Marketing.

"Garmin watches are the preferred running watches for many high school athletes and teams, and this event reaffirms our commitment to youth runners. We look forward to cheering on this year's participants in Huntsville as they chase their next PRs."
