WATCH: Carson Burian Cruises to a 14:55 win in the 5000m!

Rowland Hall senior Carson Burian matched up with one of the most talented 5000m fields ever assembled in the State of Utah, and the race did not disappoint, seeing how three boys broke 15 minutes on the track.  Burian led from the start and was paced by Olympic marathoner Jared Ward.  It was about 2000m to go when Carson went around the rabbit and increased his lead, giving him a comfortable gap over his opponents and helped him win the race.

The battle for second was intense, and it came down to the last 100m where Skyride senior Max Davis and Westlake senior Michael Moffatt were locked in battle, and it was Moffatt squeaking out the win over Davis by exactly one second!  But both Moffatt and Davis were just a couple of seconds behind the overall winner Burain who came in at 14:55.
