Brielle Davis of Copper Hills wasn't waiting around on anyone or anything when she came out "vaulting" Wednesday, March 17th, breaking Lauren Merrill's overall state record in the pole vault, clearing 12-9 at the Davis Super Meet!

Brielle was on fire during the indoor track season, vaulting as high as 12-3, and right off the bat, Davis goes for 12-9 on opening day!  Brielle has been showing steady progress this year, and she is well within range of breaking Adara Christensen's overall mark of 12-11.5 set during the 2018 indoor track season at BYU.

Brielle's mark of 12-9 ranks her 11th overall in the nation, and 3rd for her age (class of 2022). The season is barely a week in and Davis, who is now the top outdoors pole vaulter in Utah State history,  is making history and she isn't done yet!
