Salute To Seniors: Bridger Isbell

Want To Be Our Next Senior Salute? Find Out How!

Name: Bridger Isbell

School: Herriman

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?

If I could do it all over again I would've started sooner!

What will you miss the most?
The love I have for this sport now is totally unmeasurable. I was looking forward to having a big break out track season this year, however it just wasn't in the worlds cards I guess. I'll never forget that feeling of lining up at that State Cross Country line, looking side to side and seeing some of the best competitors in the State lined up next you is a crazy feeling.

What are your college plans?
I look forward to continuing my running career at Utah Valley University. I was lucky enough to be Coached my senior year by both my brother (Rory Linkletter), one of his close friends Marcus Dickson, and Coach Haag, and I can't express enough what they did for my love of the sport I wasn't sure if there was a future in running for me but before cross ended their confidence in me created an abundance of confidence in myself!

What advice would you give to younger athletes?
To the younger generation the best advice I can give you is soak it all in, you really never know when that last time toeing the line wearing your hometown schools uniform will be, never take it for granted. Most of all though believe in yourself, and trust the process no matter what that process looks like for you success isn't linear and just cause you don't develop at the same rate as someone else keep grinding.

Who would you like to say thank you to?
Thank you MileSplit!
