Top Team Finishes in 2018: 3rd at Region 9, 6th at State Class 4A .

Analysis: Hurricane is in a tough southern region that features a majority of the top 4A Class athletes and teams in the State. Finishing 3rd might not seem like a lot but when you take it into perspective, Desert Hills who finished 1st ended up being the overall winner at State. Pine View who was 2nd in the Region finished 2nd at State. Hurricane returns all 7 of its runners who ran at State and their top runner Caila Odekirk was just a freshman! There will be a new face in Region 9 this year. However, Crimson Cliffs will be located in St. George which will be splitting those schools down there. For Hurricane to emerge victorious out of the gauntlet (Region 9), this will show that this team is a serious contender for the 4A Class State Title!
