Heidi Sumsion, the latest in the class of 2021 to make the pre season rankings. Had one of the best freshman seasons in the State last year. She was consistent in State competition by placing 2nd in the 5A XC State meet in a time of 18:07.80. In track, she was runner up in the 1600m (5:03.62), and the 3200m (11:07.11). She also placed 4th in a loaded 800m field in a time of 2:15.86. Sumsion will be looking for her first state title this upcoming school year and she has shown that there's no one in the State that she can't compete with.
