BYU is set to host is annual Autumn Classic on Saturday Morning. Traditionally the meet has been run at Cascade golf course in Orem, but due to constuction at the golf course the meet will be run on the campus course.

The meet is not only a high school meet, but also boasts a very good College meet. BYU is ranked #4 in the country, and they will be hosting #6 Portland, #24 Weber state, as well as Idaho State at the meet.

In the Varsity high school races, more than 50 teams are entered in the race, which ends up being over 1500 athletes. Davis High School, American Fork Girls, Lone Peak, Cedar, Mountain View, and West Lake are a few of the top teams among the competitors.

The course will likely be muddy, as it has rained all week long. With Freshman/ Sophomore races first, then JV, then the College Men, by the time the Varsity girls take the course there should be some serious wear, especially on the turns. The course does a 1-mile loop around the BYU track, warm up field, and baseball outfield. It is a great spectator course as there are 3 or 4 places per mile you can see the athletes.

We will be at the meet on Saturday Morning, so check back for a detailed summary of the race, as well as photos and results.
