The girls of Panguitch won, scoring 125 points over Wayne, who scored 91.5, and Monticello with 74. A key to Panguitch's dominance was Freshman Whitney Orton, who single handedly added 36 points to the cause, winning three events.

Panguitch also won the boys competition, though not as comfortably as they may have anticipated. Rich put in a pretty good fight, keeping coaches counting points late in the day, but in the end Panguitch pulled away. They scored 107 points with Rich close behind in 94 points.
