Ben Saarel of Park City continued his spectacular senior season with a Mt. Sac Relays victory.  Ben won the Boys miles with a time of 4:08.55 over Bernie Montoya at 4:09.18. Ben’s time is one of the fastest full Miles every run by a native of Utah at the High School level. He is truly solidifying his name as one of the most talented, if not the most talented athlete in Utah High School History.

There has been some great talent come out of the state of Utah, and it will be fun to see what Ben can accomplish at the next level as well as he heads to Colorado University this fall.

Ben was not alone in Southern California this weekend as his teammates Ali Walker and Alyssa Snyder also competed at the meet.

Two Weeks ago at the Arcadia Invite, Ali Walker ran a 4:59.81 1600 to set the Park City school record. Her record didn’t last long as teammate and training partner Alyssa Snyder 4:57.99 at Mt Sac on Friday. Her effort was good for  4th place, her full mile time was 4:59.73 which gave her a converted time of 4:57.99.

Ali Walker was just behind Alysse at 5:02 in 6th place. Her 5:02 Mile converts to a 5:00 1600m.
