Salute to Seniors: Brian Schultz (Pleasant Grove)

Want to be out next Senior Salute? Find out How!

What was your most memorable race/throw/jump/vault/moment?

My most memorable race was my junior year in the bulldog invitational 800m, I looked down the starting line and saw Casey Clinger, Mckay Johns and a bunch of other top tier runners and thought I had finally broke into the group of guys I look up to.

Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?

My teammate Riley Taylor was always the boy I wanted to beat the most, but all the other kids on my team and in my region always were pushing me to be that much better.

What was your greatest accomplishment?

I think making it to Arcadia this year, it was really awesome to go to Cali and feel like a freakin stud with all the super fast kids from around the country

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?

I wouldn't really change anything, I loved every second

What will you miss the most?

I'll miss being able to hang with my teammates every day and be able to compete with them everyday

What advice would you give to younger athletes?

Never be complacent, always be looking to get that much better, it's one heck of a time

What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?

My dad has always been my greatest coach, fan, and critic. My dad has been the most important part of my track career and I would be nothing without him pushing me and keeping me in check.

What are your college plans?

College of Southern Idaho is we're I'll be calling home for the next couple years, I'm hoping to take some dubs up in twin falls

See yalls next year!
